John's company decided to send him to Paris and Torino to help some clients. He used frequent flyer miles to take Steve along for part of the trip. And as fate would have it, a few weeks before we were scheduled to go, we got an e-mail from our friend Anthony in San Francisco who said he was now living in Geneva. |

A short trip on the TGV took us to Geneva. We only had a two days there, which was not nearly enough time to see this beautiful city. Fortunately, Christian has lived there all his life and gave us an excellent tour. |

Steve had to fly back home, but John went on to Torino. He was able to spend a weekend sightseeing between his meetings with the client. 2000 is a Roman Catholic Jubilee year, so the famed Shroud of Turin was on display all year, and John was able to see it. |
